1. WARHAFTIG & ASSOCIATES, CPA UPDATE
Please remember, if you are in need of any financial and/or tax advice during the course
of the year, feel free to call to make an appointment.
Just because it is not tax season, it doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t be thinking of your
2010 taxes…if you owed money in 2009, there is a good chance you will owe again
this year. If you are concerned, make an appointment for a tax forecast to be done.

2. IMPORTANT DATES – MARK YOUR CALENDAR
Remember, if you received the $7,500 tax “Loan” in 2008 for first time homebuyers, you
will have to begin paying this back starting in 2010. My advice is to locate your local
Congressman and start a letter writing campaign to have them overturn this.
Third Quarter Tax Payments are due September 15th…Call if you are required and
need additional help.

3. Making Wise Charitable Contributions
Whether you are considering making a donation to the Pakistan flood relief effort or any
other charity, you need to know which charitable organizations are most worthy of your
donation – and whether they are legitimate. Listen as a CPA discusses charitable giving,
from organizational research to tax implications, in the latest Financially Fit podcast.
